Why Einstein Would be at Home at Romp n’ Roll

Gym. Art. Music. Adventure. Science. Cooking. So many different things going on at Romp n’ Roll all the time. Wouldn’t it be wiser to enroll your child in a program that focuses on only one type of activity?

Well, I think Albert Einstein would tell you no. He once said, “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” And I think it is unfortunate that many loving, intelligent, well-meaning mothers and fathers who enroll their young child in a program that focuses on one type of activity merely end up putting their brilliant little fish at the bottom of a big tree.

Imagine Michael Jordan in a music studio while Mozart is on a basketball court. Imagine Julia Child on the balance beam while Mary Lou Retton is attempting to cook coq au vin. Imagine Einstein sailing across the Atlantic while Christopher Columbus is trying to come up with the theory of relativity.

One reason that Romp n’ Roll can proudly and uniquely claim to “nurture the genius” is that it does not define genius for a child but rather allows the child to discover what his own genius may be.
