When one thinks of a good early education program, one thinks about young children being prepared for success in school. And there is no doubt that by providing little ones with lots of opportunities to engage in fun, fascinating, free-form play, Romp n’ Roll is enabling them to develop the kind of broad concepts and general skills that make them great learners who will excel in their future educational endeavors.
What may be overlooked is how Romp n’ Roll is also concerned with preparing parents for their child’s entrance into school, which is a psychological rather than educational challenge. After all, when you have been so close to your little one physically as well as emotionally since birth, it is sometimes difficult to let go and even more difficult not to feel guilty about giving some attention to yourself instead.
That is why Romp n’ Roll offers parent-optional classes for preschoolers and is now offering a Mom’s Morning Out program too. While parent and child will be intertwined emotionally forever, physical separations are inevitable in the future. And it is often the parent who benefits just as much if not more by the safe and secure preparation for this that Romp n’ Roll can provide.
