Romp n’ Roll Richmond Announces Partnership With Local High Schools!
Romp n’ Roll’s Richmond locations are excited to announce a partnership with Chesterfield, Hanover, and Henrico County Public Schools and their Transition Services programs!
Students participating in the program at Romp n’ Roll will perform a variety of tasks. Initially, students will perform tasks behind-the-scenes, as hours of planning and preparation go into the execution of classes at Romp n’ Roll. Students will assist in a variety of materials preparation for our art and specialty classes, in addition to assembling Birthday Bash party favors and more. This experience will allow high school students with special needs to acquire job experience, knowledge and skills necessary to achieving future career goals.
This unique partnership opportunity allows Romp n’ Roll to touch a group outside of its typical preschool age market. We value education, teachers and staff, and our area schools. This partnership will allow us to contribute to county schools while teaching valuable skills to students that will soon be entering the workforce.
According to Kendra Belcher, Lead Transition Coordinator at CCPS, the students can’t wait to start working with Romp n’ Roll and are looking forward to seeing the impact their efforts will have on the children. “Our partnership with Romp n Roll will assist students with intellectual disabilities gain self-confidence and independence as they learn workplace readiness skills. We are excited to have this opportunity!”
